New Video: Simple Full Day of Eating With No Anabolic Recipes

This week I posted a video with a full day of eating with only the most basic of foods that require minimal preparation. See below to check it out.

Throughout 2020, and especially during my cutting phase, I’ve really gotten into “anabolic” recipes folks are making on YouTube.  But I understand there are people out there who don’t like complicated recipes.

Maybe they don’t have time to make protein ice cream every day, or don’t have interest in complicated anabolic pizza, cheesecake or even French toast recipes. Others might just be intimidated. Or you might be in a situation where it isn’t feasible to bring your entire kitchen or fridge with you like I was trying to do in the intro.

New fridge, who dis?

In this video, I wanted to show how you can eat anabolic in the simplest way possible.  In doing so, I also christened my new gym mini fridge. Basically, I packed all my food for the day like I was packing lunch for work, and I took it out to the garage and ate there all day to show how simple it can be to eat a high protein diet that hits your calorie target.

Basic Overnight Oats Recipe

The only recipe that’s more than one step was overnight oats, but it takes 30 seconds to make.  All you do is put 1 cup of old fashioned oats in a container, add a scoop or 32 g of vanilla whey protein and 3/4ths of a cup of water.  Then stir it up and put it in the refrigerator overnight.

2,000 Simple Calories

The calorie target for the day was 2,000 calories with 200g of protein, roughly my maintenance for now at 160lbs.

Beyond the oats, I ate two Oikos yogurts, 2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites, 6 slices of plain 647 bread, an apple, a banana, 200g of carrots, a quest bar and a Nugo bar.  The bread may seem bland, but to me it tastes like dessert.

The video also featured some workout footage from my de-load week. The intro was short, but I thought it was funny. What do you think? Stay tuned for the Christmas special next week.
