Food Challenge Video: What’s in the Box?

I’ve missed pretending to be a YouTuber, so I want get back into making videos, starting with a food challenge video posted today.

  • The plan is to alternate between challenge videos and a more chill topical/Q&A/vlog video, including one on my pandemic shredding story.
  • Challenge videos might be fitness or food related.
    • Similar to the videos Will Tennyson and MattDoesFitness do 
  • I’m not going to be breaking much ground creatively relative to other you tubers, but hopefully by doing it as a middle aged dad of three will draw a different audience…maybe.

This first video is a day of me eating only freezer food, mostly vegan stuff my son wanted us to buy for that half a week when he decided he was a vegan, as discussed in this post.

As a father, I often find myself finishing food no one else wants. I took that to the extreme with this video, trying to clean out old and gross food from the freezer.

I ended up eating around 2500 calories, but only 154 grams of protein. Most of what was in the freezer were various different fake meat patties and similar items with limited protein and lots of extra fat and sodium.

Let me know if you can think of some other fun food or fitness challenge videos I should do. Here are some ideas we’ve come up with:

  • Walk 50,000 steps in a single day
  • Walk 25,000 steps a day for a week
  • Lift 100,000lbs in 100 minutes challenge
  • Various military fitness challenges
  • Eat only protein bars chosen by my kids for a day
  • Eat only cereal for a day
  • Eat only protein ice cream for a day
  • Eat 5,000 calories of fast food in a day
  • Eat my wife’s diet for a day
  • Eat like my kids for a day (one meal per kid?)
  • Do the carnivore diet for a week
