Recipe: Anabolic Pizza Puffs
Last month, I made a video where I put out into the world my first anabolic recipe. It was based off of Ethan Harold’s puffs recipes. The idea was to make a savory version of his very excellent sweet puff series of recipes and stack it up against some of my favorite Ethan Harold puff recipes.

The key to the recipe is having unflavored protein. Here are the ingredients and steps for making the puffs.

Ingredients for the base dough:
- 9 slices of 647 bread
- 220g egg whites
- 15g of blandest protein you can find, preferably unflavored
- 16g regular white flour
- 12g coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3g xanthan gum
Topping:
- 0.5 cup pizza sauce
- 60g fat free shredded cheese
- 16 slices turkey pepperoni
Blend the base dough ingredients in a high powered blender, for at least a minute, so the xanthan has a chance to thicken up. After that, you plop out 6 big balls of the dough onto a pan, then flatten with a spatula. After the 6 dough balls are flattened, apply the sauce, cheese and turkey pepperonis. Then pop it into the oven at 325 degrees for 18-20 minutes.
The full details of the recipe and how to prepare it are in the video I made.
The recipe has been a hit based on feedback from other videos. In fact, Ethan posted a review of the recipe on his channel.
